TSCA Definition 2019: A complex combination of hydrocarbons produced by the distillation of products from the hydrogenation of isohexanal and isooctanal from the hydroformylation of pentene and heptene. It consists predominantly of C6 and C8 primary aliphatic alcohols, C12 and C14 dimer alcohols, C>12 acetals and esters and C>10 acid sodium salts and boils in the range of approximately 150.degree.C to 385.degree.C (302.degree.F to 725.degree.F).
